Those planning on staying overnight might like to stay at The Borough, which is one of the major sponsors of our event

Our Supporters

Thank you to all the supporters of this event:

United Utilites have spent many months and millions on improving Lancaster's sewer system. When UU gave a first large chunk of funding they made this event possible and everything that's happened during the planning and development of LC3 2014 has been based on that key support.

As an organisation funded by traders in the town, Lancaster Unlimited saw early on the potential of this event to bring vibrancy, interest and visitors to our town. Their support has been crucial.

This year's event HQ and the very first sponsor to put funds for the event. If you're at the event tonight, you're right by That Borough. Stop in and see why this is such a popular venue in Lancaster for those who like excellent food and drink - and the Borough's own home brews!

Cycle-SOS: The Cyclists' National Helpline is made up of a highly trained team of specialist personal injury lawyers offering immediate advice to those injured whilst cycling. When they decided to sponsor LC3 we could boost the prize fund available for tonight's competitors.

Continuing their long and important support for competitive cycling in the area, it's only natural that Leisure Lakes should be behind this event. Their shop is at the top of Penny Street but they're here tonight. Stop by their stall in the Square and check out their wares.

SMaRTiming are a family owned and operated business with a back ground in sporting competition including Marathon Running, Triathlons at all levels and Long Distance Swimming.

As well as lending us their wagon for use at the start/finish, C&M came in with a late injection of cash to help the event out. They're one of the top Lancs and South Cumbria - and they're just out in Galgate!

Pay and display

There are acres of Pay and Display (£1.40) just to the north of the race circuit. If you come in from the north, follow directions on the When and Where section.

Competitor Parking

There is (free) car parking for competitors. Getting into it is tricky, getting out might be worse.

If you can't be fussed with all the details below, just use the Pay and Display, as above.

Getting in: 16:00 to 17:45 only

Getting In - from the north. Drive past the Pay and Display (as above) and turn left at the end of Edward Street (no choice about that). As soon as you come over the hump of the canal bridge turn right into St Peter's Road. Straight ahead you'll see a marshal. Show the pass (print this PDF for pass) and in you go.

Once you're through those barriers you're locked in till the event is over.

EXCEPTION: There is an Early Leaver Car Park - intended for those who are here for the Youth Race and needing to get away straight after.

How to use the Early Leaver Car Park: As you turn left at the end of Edwards St (see above) the Early Leaver Car Park is right in front of you and you can assess if there are spaces. If there are, go through the barriers (as above) and the marshal will direct you. If you don't see spaces you'll have to drive "round the block" (see below) to get back to the Pay and Display. The exit from the Early Leaver Car Park will open at 19:15 and close at 20:00.

There is no way through from the other Competitors' Car Parks to the Early Leaver Car Park.
